The Team 
At Autonomous Mobility Platform we are building a winning team focusing on a high-performance computer with a distributed software, designed to enable innovation that takes us to fully autonomous driving cars. In other words, we create the platform foundation and architecture allowing consumption of all sensor data, decision making and actuation, on which our partners within and outside of Volvo Cars are building their mobility apps on top. We are looking for an experienced software developer with computer system knowledge to strengthen our system design team.

What you´ll do? 
You will be part of a high-performance team with high ambitions. You will be a valued member in a cross-functional team which appreciate you for your hard work, transparency, and knowledge and accourage you to continuously learn and improve. Your team will lead the work breaking down our stakeholders, the ecosystem of application developers using our software platform, expectations and propose design solutions to boost their efficiency and innovations in a new way. You will use software requirements and modeling tools to visualize the solution of the distributed software platform to communicate with our software development team and with domain architects within Volvo Cars to build such complex product as a self-driving car. In this work, you will seek daily interactions with collogues, architects and engineers. Within our organization all employees are software engineers working on low level configuration of the System-on-Chip, implementing interfaces towards sensors, actuators and the vehicle, or providing high-level APIs for application developers outside our organization. Working with a scalable mobility platform requires a high-quality mind set, functional safety and cybersecurity in everything we do.

Who are you?
We believe that you are a high-performance software developer with several years of experience and that you now want to be part of next disruption. We also believe that you have experience in software architecture and product systemization. You prefer to be part of a result-oriented organization where everything is possible. You are known to take own initiatives to empower collaboration and take pride in your team achievements. You are curious, have a great ability to learn and have an innovative mind-set. You embrace the agile principles and you have a continuous improvement mind-set. It is meritorious but not required that you have experience from automotive. But we would like that you have experience of software design, working with real-time, fault tolerant, safe, and secure embedded product or application frameworks. Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Location: At Autonomous Mobility Platform we have a well-established and productive method for remote work. We are based in Gothenburg and Lund. Candidates for this position should have possibility to have a somewhat regular face-to-face presence in Gothenburg or Lund.
