As a part of Scania’s transformation from a traditional vehicle manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions, we at Vehicle Service Information have embarked on an exciting journey to deliver solutions and services that meet the new demands of a digitalized and ever-changing world. This comes with new ways of thinking, working, and developing services.
Our services and products are used 24/7 by more than 15.000 technicians in Scania’s global service network to keep the rolling stock of more than 700.000 vehicles up and running to deliver on time, all the time.
Your tasks
You will be part of a feature team building the next generation workshop tool SWS, Scania Workshop Suite. It will be used to troubleshoot, maintain and update Scania’s products i.e. trucks, busses and power solutions. You will be working with modern tech, SWS is cloud based with a microservice architecture and a web frontend. You will take part in the complete chain of developing new features from; gathering of requirements, setting the technical solution, implementing it and finally maintenance and monitoring.

Your profile
We see that you are a team player, who is eager to learn and move things forward. You are good at understanding and communicating technical solutions on both an overall and a detailed level to all kind of roles; in the team, to POs, PLs, users and customers. You are quality conscious, responsive, cooperative, and service minded. In this team we are customer focused so customer first is a must.
You have at least 5 years of experience form software development, preferably within; DB, Backend in .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, C#. Frontend in modern JavaScript frameworks as e.g. Angular. Cloud computing, preferably AWS. It is a good merit to know how to write scalable micro-services running in Docker containers as well as writing serverless applications. We use GitLab, have an automated CI/CD pipeline and DevOps thinking. Experience from similar setups is meriting.
You have an academic education at university level in computer science or comparable professional experience. You communicate in English (mandatory) and Swedish (preferably) in both speech and writing. Last but not least, we believe that innovative thinking and curiosity are two of your personality traits. It’s also a plus if you have worked in an agile team which share responsibility of a system together with other teams.
