A common day at work
The infrastructure organization provide Volvo Autonomous Solutions with software development tools, continuous integration and deployment capabilities, simulation technology and tools to utilize data efficiently. As a member in the expanding Software Development Toolchain team, you will be working with:
Setting the foundation for data centric development by enabling dashboard visualization of pipeline data providing feedback to developers
Driving DevOps task within GitLab, Artifactory and release deployment
Designing common tools where modularity is in focus making it easy to use and reuse for multiple purposes
Continuously increasing automatization in everyday work such as provisioning, maintaining and monitoring machines within the CI/CD flow
Creating reliable tools through test setup and status monitoring
Encouraging well-structured code and see peer review as an opportunity to learn and grow
Your contribution
As our company is growing, we are looking for new talents that want to put their skillset in our context. We are looking for a person with a background in software development, computer science or similar. You are eager to make continuous deployment a reality, want to provide your coworkers with a reliable development platform and you enjoy giving and getting feedback. Together with you we want to build a good foundation for making the automation software reach the end user in a smooth way.
To be able to contribute to reaching our goals we see that you hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within relevant area. In addition to your education, we see the following capabilities as a good foundation:
Proven programming experience with python and bash
Skills in data visualization frameworks like Kibana, Elasticsearch
Experience with Linux (and Windows)
Knowledge of Docker, GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible and such
Knowledge of agile methodologies and working in an agile team
Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence
Familiarity with secrets management, Kubernetes, pytest (or similar)
