Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

We at Scania’s Powertrain Control are looking at expanding our team of software developers to meet the future challenges in the automotive industry. The team plays a central part in forming and developing future diesel and electrical components for all brands in the Traton group. We supply industry-leading performance and functionality to keep our position as the leader in the heavy-duty market.

In the system team we currently deliver the platform software that enables all functional development in the Powertrain domain at Scania. We are now expanding to be able support more systems in the Powertrain domain. We continuously improve our product, development environment, tools and methods to stay ahead of the competition.

In this team you will find an open-minded culture and a joyful atmosphere which is driven by mutual respect and a genuine enthusiasm for our products.

Your role

As a software developer in our team, you will be developing a safety and timing-critical software platform. Our platform enables the application work with gearboxes, electrical machines, batteries, diesel engines and vehicle systems.

You will be part of an agile team of experienced software developers and your tasks will include on-board and off-board software development, architecture and requirement work, regression testing and improvements to our continuous integration framework.

Your profile

You are a software developer with experience in embedded systems. Experience with safety and timing-critical architectures, continuous integration, test and simulation-driven development or other methods to enhance development speed and quality would be welcome and meriting.

The domain is technically complex and developed to the best performance and standards on the market. The systems in this domain are key to function, performance and environmental impact of our products and an engineering background or strong engineering interest is expected.

You prefer to work in a team, sharing responsibility, offering and accepting help when needed. We believe in strong teams and put pride in succeeding together.

You are fluent in both written and spoken English (Swedish is meriting).

Our offer

We offer a great opportunity to work at the heart and core of embedded software development in an interesting and challenging environment. You will work on the forefront of embedded system development which is guaranteed to develop your skills and advance you as an engineer.
