Software Development Engineer

CEVT is an innovation centre for the future cars of the Geely Group with the purpose of being at the forefront of new developments in the automotive industry. Since 2013 CEVT has grown rapidly and now keeps some 2000 people busy. China Euro Vehicle Technology AB is a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group.

As a software development engineer, you will write, edit, maintain and test computer software. Your initial focus area will be to work with blockchain technology - developing and optimizing blockchain protocols, crafting the architecture of blockchain systems, developing smart contracts and web apps using blockchain technology. You will work within the Feature Lab department, consisting of CAE engineers, software developers and AI/ML engineers.

Responsibilities and tasks
* Develop, test, implement, maintain and improve software to ensure strong functionality and optimization
* Research, design, develop, and test blockchain technologies
* Brainstorm and help evaluate applications for new blockchain tools and technologies as they continually evolve
* Collaborating closely with all the other members of the team to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts that the team has committed to
* Be aware of technology advancements and within the blockchain area
* Communicate requirements, results, development proposals and assumptions with product owner, scrum master, software developers, system engineers and suppliers
* Contribute to develop Feature Lab blockchain-team efficiency


Job requirements:
* B.Sc. or preferably M.Sc. in Computer science, Automation or similar
* 1+ years' experience in software development
* Proficiency in C++, Java and/or Python, experience working with open-source projects
* Knowledge of concurrency and writing efficient and safe multithreaded code
* Knowledge of common blockchain-related algorithms and data structures
* Familiarity with basic cryptography and P2P networks
* Broad technical interest with outstanding ability to learn
* Result focused personality who is not afraid to go outside of personal scope to reach project results
* Ability and interest to interact with people outside your own organization
* Fluent in English, spoken and written. Fluency in Swedish is an advantage but not a requirement
* Driver's license
