In the department for Engine Control Systems we are responsible for development of control systems for combustion engines for all powertrains in the group. We have an open and innovative environment, a perfect opportunity to develop yourself and make a difference.

Right now, Scania are taking the steps to a fully functional safety compliant engine control system, and this requires a transformation in how we develop and assure quality of our software.

We are now looking for a skilled software developer within embedded systems, that is passionate about the art of coding and software architecture. Would you like to be a part of our journey and lead the development of safety critical functionality within engine control system?

Your role

As the Software Development Engineer, you will work with our process, verification and validation experts. Together you will question existing ways of working, taking lead in implementation and quality assurance of safety critical functionality.

You will be part of a development team within the area of engine brake and variable valve control.

The members of the team has diverse backgrounds from for example in control, simulation and mathematics.

Creativity, problem solving and critical thinking is highly valued as we often discuss the challenges to find solutions together and you are expected to contribute to the team deliveries.

As a supplier of engine control system in the Traton group and to external customers you will often work in cross-functional teams with international projects, with contacts both within and outside Scania.

Who you are

You are a skilled software developer within embedded system. Experience in functional safety at the software level and agile ways of working for example CD/CI pipelines is highly meritorious. It is natural for you to question the way of working and you appreciate continues improvements in tools and processes to increase efficiency. You are good in communication and fluent in English in speech and writing.

B-license is required, C-license is meritorious.
