The vital role of proteins in understanding human biology has been recognized for many decades, but technological limitations severely restricted the comprehensive investigation of the huge number of proteins that could be important in different biological processes and diseases. Position Description

Olink Proteomics is looking for a Software Development Manager to strengthen our Software Development department. We are developing a growing number of systems and applications ranging from web and desktop analytics applications to high performance data delivery pipelines that are an essential part of Olink disrupting the proteomics market. The last few years, Olink have expanded from being a small Swedish based company to a strong international organization and the software development department has grown rapidly. We are now looking for a Software Development Manager to join us in our mission to accelerate proteomics and precision medicine. The position will be based in our Uppsala headquarters and report to the Head of Software Development.

We are organized into product focused teams. As a Software Development Manager you will manage 1-3 software teams where your primary task will be to support your teams to be productive and continually improving. Our teams work closely with the rest of the organization, including RnD, product management and data science to drive the development of our products in collaboration and you will be a key person in this collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities

- Lead and build your team.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams and functions./+
- Establish and improve ways of working and development processes.
- Contribute to and implement technical strategies across the department.
- Set objectives and follow up with team members.
- Ensure great onboarding and training of new team members.
- Build a great culture that promotes innovation, collaboration and caring.


Qualifications/Skills

- Some years of leadership experience.
- MSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Ability to motivate and grow your team.
- Excellent communication skills in English and preferably Swedish.
- Experience of Scrum and agile software development.
- Hands on experience as a developer.
- Sees the value in both great desktop, web and CLI applications.
- Experience of working with cloud environments.
