Software engineer

Are you interested in flight related technology and developing your software skills? Then this might be the position for you.

Your role

As a Software Engineer, you will be working in a team responsible for developing and maintaining a wide variety of avionics functions in JAS 39 Gripen. The software must be compliant with flight industry regulations in regards to flight safety. Solutions are verified and proven safe through documentation, reviews and tests.

The main tasks are:

* Definition of requirements
* Design
* Verification and Validation
* Programming (object-oriented)
* Understanding and maintaining existing functionality

Your profile

You enjoy good cooperation with colleagues and other stakeholders where you contribute with good communication skills and positive energy. You are a person with interest in software development and you value personal development as well as learning new tools and work procedures.

Required skills:

* B.Sc./M.Sc. or relevant work experience
* Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written
* Likes to cooperate in a curios and prestige less way
* Programming

Desired skills :

* Experience from development of technical systems
* Understanding for the whole development chain - requirements to verification
* Have good ability to work with different personalities and spread positive energy within the team

This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.

What you will be a part of

You will a part of the whole development chain e.g definition of requirements, design and verification in flight simulators. Your work content and future development will be depending on you experience and interest and of course the future need from the company. The functions developed by you and your team will have many interfaces towards other parts of the aircraft which will give you the opportunity to get a good overall understanding of the different complex systems in Gripen. This will be a good base for your future develop and career at Saab.

In your work you will continuously develop your competence, both by training and competence transfer from experienced colleagues.

We believe that you are a curios, open and outgoing person who can easily cooperate in both small and large projects. You will work in smaller team with competent colleagues and develop new functions in fighter aircraft Gripen.
