Your role

In our Linköping office, we are about 50 people, so we are a small part of Saab working mainly in the civil market. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the design, architecture, development, documentation and integration of software solutions. Our development process is agile and we are working close to our customers with short time between ideas to market, sometimes within weeks. You will be participating in innovative R&D projects that aims for developing our next generation products.

We are using the latest products and development tools that are available on the market, as it is effective, innovative and also more fun to use them. An example of this is that we currently make our software running on .Net Core, which makes it platform independent.

In our systems we are also integrating Open Source solutions to make use of latest industrial standards.

Your Profile

The following are examples of qualifications and skills that are applicable for the role. It is not a requirement that you possess all of the below, one or more may be sufficient.

General

* Bachelor or Master degree in Software Engineering
* Analytical, self-driven, flexible, creative and result oriented
* It is a requirement that you speak and read Swedish and English fluently

Technical

* C# (mainly) / C++
* Development in Visual Studio 2019 with Team Foundation Server and GitLa
* SQL databases: MSSQL and Postgres NoSQL databases: MongoDB and Neo4J
* Communication in TCP/UDP, AMQP, gRPC, REST API:s
* Security with Identity Server 4 or Keycloak
* Windows and Linux operating systems
* Latest web techniques
* Containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
* Cyber security

This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.

What you will be part of

Saab provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems, and traffic management systems. Saab Traffic Management (TM) serves marine and air traffic customers around the globe with advanced solutions that enable safe and efficient movement of people and goods.

The Operations department consists of an enthusiastic team of software engineers, system engineers, product managers and support engineers, organized in Scrum development teams. The final software products of Saab are applied in various projects globally, in the area of Vessel Traffic Services, Offshore Platform Protection and Coastal Surveillance systems.
