Senior System Engineer – UX mechatronics, Design


In your role as senior developer, you will be responsible to develop high fidelity interaction software and hardware prototypes for verification purposes of Interaction concepts, together with a UX designer. This could either be in a test car, production cars or a rig. You will also develop software and hardware prototypes solutions for user interface solutions for our concept cars. This work includes contacts with other engineering departments within Volvo and suppliers. As a Senior Studio engineer, you are expected to manage your own area and have the ability to prioritize your deliveries.


Responsibility
• Together with HMI designer develop an interface to meet Design intention.
• Challenge and drive new technical solutions to support Design intention.
• Support and maintain the software/hardware in test cars, with respect to user experience.
• Support the UX design organisation with facts and technical information.


Qualifications:
• Working experience in C/C++, Python and Linux environment
• Design and solder simple electrical circuits
• Experience from User Interface development and frameworks such as QT, Android are meritorious.
• Experience from software development and quality assurance of embedded systems
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR, FlexRay, LIN and/ or CAN protocols
• B.Sc. Computer Engineering, Electrical or Mechatronics
• Good communication & leadership skills
