Software engineer

Role As a Software Engineer you will be part of a team that designs, builds, and supports the products in our domain.

You will: - Be part of the iterative design process with the team - Reach out and align with our technology groups on patterns and practices such as data mesh, security, privacy, tooling etc. - Develop new functionality in both the products and supporting solutions - Help make sure our documentation is always up to date - Support the products we develop in production - In this role you will report to the Engineering Manager.

 

Background The scope of the consultant services is to assist our customer in the modernization of the solutions supporting global co-worker long-term loyalty programme. Work entails capturing allocations decided, country/global criteria compilation, estimation of loyalty reward per co-worker and integration to payroll systems. It also has access and maintains historical data related to co-worker loyalty programme. Solution is expected to be deployed on GCP infrastructure and integrated to an in-house developed user interface.

Desired knowledge, experience, competence, skills etc - Experience from various engineering practices including design, development and test using industry standard tools. - Experience with designing and creating the architecture of new Digital Products. - Strong understanding of microservice Architecture and cloud native technology. - Good understanding of API´s. - Understanding of event-based architecture. - Good experience from backend development in languages preferably as Java, JavaScript/Node.js and Python. - Experience with cloud-native app development on GCP – you have a good understanding of cloud storage, databases, serverless and you understand how to use cloud-native in production. - Experience from Git. - Experience from both relational and NoSQL databases. - Experience from various system integration scenarios. - An understanding of data engineering practices (e.g. data modelling, ETL). - Good experience of working in agile software development teams with an emphasis on self-organization. We expect you to be tech agnostic and you should feel comfortable working with a variety of technologies.
