Job Description
Are you always thinking of ways to improve and automate parts of your job?
In this role, you’ll be working closely with our cross-functional teams in production, tying the parts together. You will ensure a healthy culture of DevOps methodology & thinking together with our technical leadership. You will be an integral part of our development, with focus on performance, security, scalability, high availability, and especially quick feedback in all parts of our development. The work will vary and will often cover many technical areas, but your primary focus will be on developing a tool chain and processes for continuous delivery and integration. You will be part of a great team, where you together will secure a high-quality standard by sharing best practices, driving automation, and improving the tools we use. Together we will foster a ‘quality by design’ mind-set, which secures the testing in the end.
You will join a great team and together we will bring our amazing products to the many people, or as we call it - democratizing the smart home.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have worked with cloud development for collection, pipelining, storage and visualization of diagnostics and analytics data. We are building a data cloud platform for Home smart to collect data and configure our products and services to detect issues, improve quality and giving insights. It is important for us to treat data of our customers in a responsible way and develop with privacy in mind. A solid data engineering background and broad knowledge in Privacy Regulations and common trends in this area are beneficial, together with an experience in working data-driven with clear KPIs. You are humble, have willpower and the ability to create togetherness and enthusiasm with the people around you.
Furthermore, we believe your knowledge and experience looks something like this:
Google Cloud Platform services e.g. BigQuery, Cloud Run, Composer, Dataflow, Endpoints, Data Studio
Languages/tools used are git, GitHub, Go, Python, bash/shell, SQL
Knowledge in best practices around data engineering and knowledge within data science
Knowledge in CI/CD best practices especially GitHub Actions
Splunk as log indexing services
Service isolation using docker containers and Kubernetes in general
Formal advanced education in engineering, computer science, econometrics, mathematics or equivalent
