Software Engineer
Take an opportunity to be part of an exciting journey as a Java developer/backend engineer writing code to build highly distributed, resilient and mission critical systems. You will be part of the Risk and Pricing Engineering team based in either Stockholm or Ume delivering our products to high profiled exchanges and clearinghouses. The work has a great impact on global markets meeting the ever-increasing demands of the post-trade value chain with regards to real-time risk and pricing of financial instruments.

You will work within and across amazing scrum teams consisting of highly skilled and experienced Business Analysts, Software Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers to secure efficient and qualitative customer deliveries of our products. Over time your role may evolve into different directions, either being a specialist on specific areas, taking overall responsibility for solutions as an architect or being team lead/manager. We offer growth and development opportunities learning from knowledgeable co-workers and collaboration across departments and continents.
Your role and responsibilities:
Design solutions and write code of good quality that solves difficult problems in a distributed system with extreme demands on resilience and quality.
Contribute with your knowledge on how to design and build high quality software to deliver production ready solutions according to agreed specifications.
Be involved in all stages of the product life cycle; from design, implementation & testing to release & deployment to monitoring & troubleshooting to maintenance & enhancement.
Impact what we build and how we build it by taking lead on small and big tasks within the project.
Be involved in technical discussions with the customer, leading up to designs and decisions around around the solutions we deliver.
We expect you to:
Preferably at least 1 year of experience developing backend Java applications.
Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or similar or equivalent working experience
An outgoing and self-driven attitude along with your sense of structure and creativeness.
Desire to work with highly complex, distributed and resilient transaction intensive systems
Experienced with Java 8+
Excellent written and spoken English
It would be great if you have:
Experience working with financial markets, Typescript, React/Redux, Swagger/OpenAPI, ReactiveX, and a love for Mathematics
