We are looking for a Software Engineer to Sony R&D Center in Lund.
At Sony R&D Center in Lund they work with the research and development of advanced visual sensing and sensor fusion systems in small creative teams. In this assignment the candidate will work hands-on with the design and implementation of an ML inference environment and its application to use cases in the smart farming domain. We are looking for a software engineer passionate about solving real use-case challenges using advanced camera technologies with RGB and ToF sensors.
Responsibilities include integration and deployment of computer vision algorithm prototypes on ToF and RGB sensors. You will work together with our AI experts and influence how they provide algorithmic components for integration into a real-time computer vision system.
You are:
Self-motivated and proactive in taking part in the planning and design of software systems.
Used to working with Proof of Concepts, developing new applications and solving real world problems.
Expected experience:
Comfortable in both C++ (or C) and Python.
Working with Linux/UNIX environments.
Implementing evaluation strategies and metrics for machine learning algorithms
Communicating ideas and methods with team members.
Development best practices and tools such as Git.
Commitment to writing well documented code.
Familiar with benchmarking and optimization of code.
Some of the tools you will work with:
Image analytics and vision tools like OpenCV (C++)
Python C extensions, embeddings and language interfaces
Serialization tools like Google Protocol Buffers, json, etc.
Plotting tools like Matplotlib (Python)
Profiling tools (e.g. CProfiler and Snakeviz)
Python CLI-tools (e.g. click, fire, argparse)
Other relevant experiences include:
NumPy, SciPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
Comfortable working with multiple code bases / products / open-source projects
MLOps, Data Pipelines
API's, networks and IPC (e.g., MQTT, gRPC, REST, etc.)
Vision algorithms (SLAM, SfM, Point Clouds, Stereo Imaging, motion detection, etc.)
Video streaming and image pipelines
This is a full-time consultancy position in Lund.
