WHO WE ARE
We are a new team of software developers belonging in the Selling subdomain of IKEA Digital where we focus on the many systems interacting to support sales orders generated through purchases from IKEA.
IKEA is on an exciting mission to modernize our technical landscape, creating an efficient and scalable architecture where we focus on single responsibility & separation of concern.
One of the modernization initiatives is the new Order Communication team whose responsibility is providing a unified way for various teams and products to keep our customers informed on their business with us; a central and important part of creating an enjoyable customer experience.
We’re mostly located at our offices in Malmö & Helsingborg but collaborate with coworkers from all over the world.
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN

You want to work with modern technologies and methodologies and are excited to embrace DevOps. You’re encouraged by the prospect of designing and building something new rather than providing life support on legacy system. You thrive in an environment without a jungle of processes & bureaucracy.
More than anything, you’re excited to doing this together with your co-workers.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:

-Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
-Git, GitHub & GitHub Actions
-Linux / macOS / Windows - you decide what works best for you
Our solution is mostly event-driven and while we build in GCP, we’re keeping a cloud vendor agnostic mindset and a pragmatic and rationale-based approach to the tools we choose & the decisions we make together.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

-Collaborate with experienced peer teams to engineer quality solutions
-Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code

-Create foundations for great observability
-Participate & contribute to the team’s agile activities
-Working from home and/or the office
PLEASE NOTE
Due to GDPR we can't review any applications coming to us in other ways than through our recruitment program.
Our primary concern since the outbreak of corona virus has been the health and safety of our co-workers and candidates. Because of this, we have adapted our recruiting processes to be fully digital.
Studies show that members of underrepresented communities don’t apply for jobs unless they’re 100% “qualified”. If this is part of the reason you hesitate to apply, we like you to reconsider and give it a chance. Maybe your profile fits our needs much better than you think. We look forward to receiving your application.
