Position: Software Engineer
Location: Lund, Sweden

How will you contribute?
As a member of an Applications team, you will develop algorithms and software for our analyzers that automatically locate and pre-classify cells. Working together in the Application team, you will specialize in programming and digital image processing, used in our software to automatically detect, and classify cells and other objects in blood and body fluids. You will contribute to our entire development process, from algorithm development, implementation, code reviews and documentation, to the creation and execution of tests.
As a Software Engineer you will:
- Develop and maintain Windows desktop applications for lab personnel, using C# and WPF.
- Develop and maintain backend services for coordinating access to databases and connecting labs, using C++ and SQL.
- Participate in the design of distributed systems using a combination of desktop applications, web applications, and backend services, that will be deployed and run on the customers own data centers.
- Perform troubleshooting and testing as part of the quality work.
- Conduct investigations and research tasks.
- Review designs, reports, and source code contributions from colleagues.

What will you bring?
- You have a Master of Science degree or equivalent.
- You have good experience in programming skills in C++ and/or C#.
- You have an ability to understand the overall architecture and design of large software systems.
- You have a solid sense of responsibility. You take initiatives and come up with new proposals for working methods.
- You are good at evaluating and solving problems.
- You have experience in working in an agile environment.
- You have experience in test automation.
- You have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
- You have knowledge in one or several of the following areas:
- Image analysis
- Pattern recognition and classification
- Design of user interface
- SQL databases
- Regulatory controlled environment
- Python scripting
