About the role
We are now looking for a software engineer / Cloud & API specialist who will work with in one of our highly prioritized areas within in the customer domain of HM business Tech. A software engineer is responsible for the entire software life cycle – design, development, test, release and maintenance and translates business needs into working software. Regardless of area, tools or languages, a software engineer builds and configures solutions that are easy to maintain and change, enabling a constant delivery pace to be kept indefinitely. This is achieved through continuous attention to technical excellence and good design, with extensive use of automation.
We are currently building and enhancing a solution for seamless data exchange in between the H&M group and our external sales channel partners. This will enable fast and stable onboarding of new partners, which contributes to H&M’s global expansion plans.
The solution spans cross all functions within the heart of H&Ms e-commerce setup, such as product enrichment, logistics and order orchestration, marketing and business intelligence. You will work I n collaboration closely with a team of cloud engineers who are building and designing the overall solution, and at times also support in tasks for the generic solution. In the daily scrum meetings, you will interact with a variety of individuals with different roles – all contributing to our high performing product team.
The product team is run in a multiple supplier set-up, in agile methodology and in Azure.
Your responsibilities
To be successful in this role we believe you have genuine passion for cloud solutions, continuous improvements, and a strong sense of team collaboration. You will play an important role in setting the foundation and creating our future organization. Therefore, some of the responsibilities will include:
Translate product strategy and requirements into suitable, maintainable and scalable solution design according to existing architecture guard rails
Perform technical and architectural analysis of requirements and impact analysis
Use an experimental mindset to identify, evaluate and recommend alternative design options which take target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems into account
Collaborate with team to fulfill the architectural design
Cooperate with area architects within H&M Business tech to secure the solution position in the cloud landscape
Cooperate with Infrastructure and Security architects
Have a holistic view of how the solution adds value and ties into the defined business outcomes
Qualifications
Experience in working with IT/system/solution in preferably large, international organizations working with cloud solutions (preferably Azure), API’s, Agile, and Devops
Having a good understanding of retail and e-commerce
Experience working with different architectural view-points to identify and understand their dependencies
Confident to take architectural decisions regarding functional, information and quality requirements
Experience from using SAFe or other agile methods is an advantage
