Job description We currently have a vacancy for a Software Engineer (Data Communications expert) in our RCS (Rail Control Solutions) Division based in Hässleholm, Sweden. In this role the successful candidate will become a leading contributor to development projects, support and bid activities, and will provide expert knowledge in Data Communications.This is a key, customer-facing role, managing both external and internal contacts with an international geographic remit. Key objectives for this position will include: -Software development of computerized systems for Interlocking and Radio block centers, with the primary focus being on Data Communication.-Design of software architecture.-Implementation, test and release of software.-Paying close attention to safety aspects in the development process.-Providing expertise in supporting internal and external customers.-Training users.-Analyzing and correcting non-conformities.-Providing expert support to the Sales and Bid teams.-Working within an international, multicultural environment.-Writing technical documents and reports.Qualifications University degrees in Engineering/Computer Science (or equivalent) are required for this position.The selected candidate will be motivated by the prospect of joining a dynamic, international team; will have a strong sense of attention to detail and analysis and display the utmost integrity in their working practices.This position offers regular opportunities for business travel.For this role prior work experience (5 years minimum, preferably within an international context) with the following packages/languages/environments are prerequisites: C/C++, TCP/IP, Linux, Ethernet, ISDN, WLAN, GSM/R. Fluent business-level in English is a significant advantage for this position as well as excellent communication skills in speaking and writing.
