What you will do
As a Software Engineer, you will build and maintain data flows and the data warehouse. You will develop code for gathering, scheduling activities for data imports and exports, retrieve data, map data, and create efficient data layers to the analytics team. Mostly you will use SQL and Azure Synapse Analytics to optimize our use of distributed infrastructure and cloud infrastructure.
You will be using Microsoft tech stack in Azure cloud environment and in agile work with a DevOps mindset, transforming the ideas of the analytic needs into a coded solution, taking charge of test and release, then maintaining the solution.
The tools you will be working in are based on the Microsoft tech stack such as Azure Synapse Analytics (Pipelines, Data Factory), Logic Apps and Stored Procedures. You will also work closely with solutions built in Azure Analysis Services and Power BI.

To meet the expectations of our colleagues you will collect requirements and needs and be in close dialogue with different stakeholders throughout the organization. You like to roll up your sleeves and work on all levels to get the job done. We have a great tolerance for failures paired with high expectations on competence.
Work tasks
• Analyze business requirements and come up with solutions
• Develop new/changed functionality including writing technical specifications
• Test, support and maintain product within Financial Data and Controlling


Qualifications


Who are you?
You are an important team player in this solution, and we therefore believe you are communicative, full of drive and have a “you build it you run it” mindset, and with experience from similar development teams. You will work with a broad and holistic view. In addition to this, we believe you have:
Mandatory requirements, both competence and tools
• At least 3 years of experience of development, testing and support in data warehousing & analytics platforms
• Expertise in SQL-language and ETL-tooling
• Worked with high data volumes
• Worked with integrations in an enterprise
• Integrations through Composite API
• Integrate with Azure based solutions are a great advantage
• Agile ways of working and SCRUM

Qualifying requirements:
• You are strategic, analytical, and fast in understanding and execution
• Ability to understand and analyze complex information and share it in effective and powerful communications
• Ability to take responsibility, work proactively and continuously improve activities in complex, quickly transforming environments
• It is a merit with previous knowledge of H&M IT & Data Landscape
• Fluent in English, both spoken & written
• Interested in working with H&M specific needs and challenges
