Do you want to be part of a brand new DevOps team? PP Drivers is the team that is to be built up in 2022!
We work in INGKA People Domain, subdomain People Planning, where we build, refine and maintain new platforms & digital products, providing the API’s, backend and frontend that support and improve the internal experience for co-workers at Ingka in the different business units.
We are looking for creative Software Engineers who want to work with both new cloud-native application development, ensure that operations run smoothly and create a great experience for all users.
Currently we have one web application and are rolling out the first MVP. This is still early stage and there are many things still to be done meaning the opportunity is there to influence and shape the product journey with the rest of the PP Drivers team. We also have one product where we have released the first steps of analytical information, and this also has many more things to be developed!
The team works agile in a devops process with GCP as the common technology, pubsub, cloudrun, terraform and Big Query.
If you are not 100% on those technologies today but you are the right person and willing to learn along-side us, we are sure that we can make that happen together! We have an open-minded approach and we want to develop the team dynamics (e.g using feedback loops and personal development).

Within the PP Drivers we make it possible for people planners around the IKEA-world to make the budget for resources rely more on facts. We also make it possible to create a forecast and ensure workload planning so that IKEA from a strategic perspective can make decisions about hiring more coworkers or reskilling coworkers.
PP Drivers is a team which is going to be built up during 2022, joining now will also give you a possibility to influence both technology and team development. Right now we need to expand the team with 1 software engineer with focus on analytical information, consuming information from different business solutions adding business logic to it and make it available for users doing forecasting and enable scheduling and strategical business decisions.
Your background!
As a person you have a passion for technology, you welcome change and you love to learn. You are innovative and work towards putting modern architecture and requirements into place.
We think you have some sort of degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Preferably you have experience in working with product development or an understanding of what that is and an interest to be part of a product team on the tech side.
It’s beneficial if you are aware of and appreciate IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people. To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
• Experience including design, development, documentation and test automation
• An interest in architecture and cloud native technology and want to be part of designing and creating the architecture of new Digital Products
• Good experience working with API, BigQuery, cloudrun and other GCP-components. Since this position will be involved in the forecasting and workload planning capabilities it would be a plus for knowledge regarding data analysis and different forecasting models.
• An understanding of data engineering practices (e.g. data modelling, ETL)
It would also be beneficial if you had experience in / you will work with:
• Git and establishing and/or working with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of event-based architectures
• Experience from various system integration scenarios
• And an interest in being tech-agnostic and feeling comfortable working with a variety of technologies.
We live in a hybrid world with on-prem solutions slowly being replaced by cloud-based solutions. Our technology stack is primarily based on Google Cloud Platform. Services such as Cloud Functions, SQL/NoSql stores, Dataflow and PubSub are used to create data hubs that will promote data democratization across Ingka. Work is planned, tracked and documented using primarily Jira/Confluence.
