Your Role and Responsibilities
The Engineering Competence Center's team vision is to enable our delivery project teams around the world to develop and test software, get rapid feedback and deliver on their commitments towards our customer with a traceable, measurable, and low maintenance scalable toolchain.
You will work with cross functional teams of professionals based in Umeå, Stockholm, Canada, India and the US within the Market Technology business unit. The team’s mission is to deliver state of the art technology for Nasdaq Real time Clearing System to numerous customers around the world, using a rapid agile development process with quick and easily consumable feedback loops. To be successful in the adoption of tools and processes you need to thrive in an environment where you must champion your work to drive usage and support.
A workday might look like this
You will be part of and supporting our project deliveries by helping the development projects to optimize the usage of our services, like GitLab for source code, Jenkins for build schedules and SonarQube for static code analysis. you will use Gradle and Gradle Enterprise for build automation and analysis, and the produced artifacts are managed by Artifactory. Further you will help us leverage what you learn every day to the benefit of the team and our end users, while contributing with your experience and recommendations to standups, planning, retrospectives, and stakeholder meetings.
We expect you to
Have a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
A curious, positive, and solution-oriented approach
A true teammate and great communicator
Passion for driving development efficiency through championing automation, agile processes, observability, and self-service
Excellent working proficiency in English
It would be great if you
Financial industry knowledge
Knowledge in agile development methods and how to best support them
Experience with general software development with a passion for build automation and efficiency
Use of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
Experience with optimizing and troubleshooting build scheduler & automation tools
Experience in issue tracking and shared documentation practices
