We are now looking for a Software Engineer to join our Firmware Applications team within our Research and Development department.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a software engineer at Firmware Applications you will work with development of applications and add-ons on our Linux Application Platform. You will work closely with product management and be part of the entire chain from analysis, design, implementation, unit- and functional tests to delivery.
In your daily work you will be a part of a project and interface product managers, other developers, quality assurance engineers and project managers, as well as a variety of different stakeholders throughout the organization.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a Software Engineer that has a general interest in technology, a genuine interest in programming and loves to solve problems both alone and in close cooperation with colleagues.
We believe you have a Master's degree in computer science or equivalent and experience in C programming. It is an advantage if you are used to Linux environment and script languages, e.g. LUA and/or Python as you will work with development of functional and architectural additions and enhancements within the application platform. As a good communicator you have very good skills in English, both verbal and written.

THE FIRMWARE APPLICATIONS TEAM
The Firmware Applications Team is a new team within the Products & Services department. The team will be responsible for developing applications and add-ons on top of the Linux Firmware Platform. This means taking an overall responsibility for the specified areas regarding roadmap, development, architecture, competence and quality. The team will work very closely with parallel teams and with Product Management to build a common firmware distribution for our whole product portfolio and to build system solutions for the market. We work in an agile environment using scrum and kanban.
