Software Engineer for Continuous Integration & Delivery

At the Powertrain Engineering SW Factory we are responsible for the CI/CD Pipeline for the Powertrain and Electromobility products. We are a small team with a lot of freedom, working both with developing new ideas on how to make the pipeline more efficient and maintaining a growing flora of systems. We are part of Electrics & Electronics of Powertrain Engineering. We are located in Sweden Lundby but we have connections with all GTT sites.


There are over 350 developers using our tool and flow and this is growing. The challenges you will face are, continue the automation mission for the entire delivery of SW to customer over the air, to expand our feature offering on testing and simulation framework for our Software engineers users to be more efficient in their daily work.


Main Activities:
Develop and maintain Jenkins/Bitbucket based SW Factory
Develop and maintain SW Integration pipeline including building SW, running unit tests and Matlab simulations, running HW tests
Develop scripts using Python or Bash for the CI/CD pipeline
Lead initiatives & improvement work in SW Factory area



Who are you?
We are looking for you who are working with SW development within Volvo right now but would like to try a different path, a different pulse. You like improvements and are perhaps developing your own scripts on the side to make your daily life easier. You are helpful to others, assisting with your knowledge in systems and tools. You also like to work with different things and easily learn new systems and solutions.


Requirements, experiences needed:
SW Development Experience within Volvo, Powertrain development a very big advantage
Knowledge in programming Python and scripting in Bash or similar
Hands on experience on Continuous Integration and previous experience documented is a plus
Knowledge in programing embedded real time systems in C is a plus
Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
The job requires both autonomy and ability to work in a team
Being open-minded and pro-active, structured and a drive to take the lead is an advantage
