Software Engineer - for digital media devices

As a software engineer at 27M you will be involved in efforts to promote development in the digital TV industry by developing software for STB (Set-top boxes) in C/C++ and Web technologies. You will work with both the maintenance of existing and development of new middleware and GUI.

You will be working with software development and new services such as OTT (Over The Top Content), which means content distributed via the Internet and IP streaming. The trend is also towards media gateways and smart Set Top Boxes. You will be involved in developing new interface for the user in the web environment (HTML5, SVG and Flash). You will also work with the entire software stack with platforms and drivers development.

Appropriate educational background is M.Sc. engineering with a passion for software development in C/C++, and Web technologies like HTML, Java and JavaScript.

Most of our work is in close cooperation with our customers and we expect our staff to keep direct contact with our customers on a daily basis.

You should preferably have 3-5 years of relevant work experience in developing software for embedded operating systems that are specifically designed for resource-constrained hardware platforms, particularly against Linux.
