As our quest to democratise financial services continues at blazing speed, our Seller Lifecycle Alliance is on the lookout for a passionate Backend Software Engineer to join our inspiring Business Identity Team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to all aspects of the backend in addition to getting involved in all facets of Software Engineering including Infrastructure, Data, Deployment, Monitoring, Architecture, Code reviews, pair / mob Programming, and much more.

Part of Zettle's Seller Lifecycle Alliance, the Identity Area creates a foundation on which all other product integrations can stand on. You will be part of the Team creating and owning smooth integrations between all business applications used across the ZettlebyPayPal's ecosystem. The skills to succeed
To feel fulfilled and succeed in this role, you would greatly benefit from having a solid understanding and experiences with:
Programming in Java 11+ with frameworks as Dropwizard or Spring Boot
API Integrations
Building distributed systems with REST
Working with continuously delivered systems
SQL and data modelling with PostgreSQL
Cloud development with Docker, Kubernetes preferably in AWS
Pair/Mob programming
The traits to exceed
Great passion for working close with product and design and solving complex problems in small, agile and cross functional teams
Ability to collaborate and communicate with a lot of different colleagues within the business functions as well as with other engineers
Willingness to share your knowledge, experience and opinions while understanding that the last word comes from the team;
Strong desire to learn and your endless appetite for exploring new things.
Earn extra points if you have knowledge or experience with:
Microservice architecture
System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM)
Automated testing
GraphQL
Cassandra or other NoSQL databases
React or similar Javascript frameworks
Unix Linux OS
FinTech or/and Financial services.
