Software Engineer in live video streaming

JOB DESCRIPTION
Academic Work is now looking for a Software Engineer for our client Peerialism. The company has 15 employees and has offices in Stockholm and Cairo. The Software Engineer role is a combined role and you will work with automating the test and development environment as well as contributing to the Peerialism distributed system.

You will contribute to the development and implementation of a distributed test and deployment environment. In addition, we see that you, for example, will:

- Contribute to Peerialisms backend system
- Evaluate and improve the test automation system
- Run tests in a distributed system and analyze their results
- Perform pre-/post-sale installation and support


REQUIREMENTS
Most importantly, you are a skilled Software Engineer with a solid technical understanding as well as the ability to quickly understand, implement and test new features. If you have experience from developing distributed systems it is a big advantage. As Peerialism relies heavily on automation it is considered an advantage if you are familiar with scripting languages as well as setting up and configuring test-automation tools. Solid experience of frontend development is a bonus. In addition to an analytical and structured approach to solving problems, we expect that you have a strong interest and drive to learn new things and apply them in practice. Most meetings and written communication at Peerialism are in English. Swedish is not a requirement.

The company is currently enabling several companies in the Fortune 500 to reliably broadcast live feeds to tens of thousands of active viewers. The international team is a mix of experienced entrepreneurs, senior researchers and expert software engineers. Peerialism has offices in Stockholm and Cairo.
