About us
The department Battery & Charging Controls is responsible for the development of major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Cars. The group SW Release and Integration build and deliver SW for the on-board charger (OBC) and the DC/DC converters in our electrified vehicles.
The on-board charger is essential for electrified vehicles, it holds the functionality to charge the traction battery from the grid, and it is for sure of highest importance in a pure electric vehicle. The DC/DC converters enable energy flow from the traction battery to the low-voltage system.

In order to achieve this, Volvo Cars is determined to develop smart solutions, sophisticated communication, SW functionality and release strategies. Continous integration is a key player in this.
We strive to work with the latest available technology and tools in order to be at the forefront of the technological shift towards electric vehicles.
Our vision is to deliver high quality software and continuously evolve our way of working. We strive for a more modular software platform to cope with different configurations of the worldwide charging standards and regulations that are continuously updated.
