Software Engineer Java

Luminator is a leading innovator in the design and manufacturing of communications and lighting products in public transport industry for more than 90 years. They are now expanding their software department and adding a Software Engineer to their Software Technology Development Center in Herrljunga.

The role

In this role you will work collaboratively with key business stakeholders to specify, design, develop and maintain software products for public transport industry (bus and rail). As a Software Engineer your primary focus will be on development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end, server-to-server and unit communicating to the server.

Your background

We believe you have a BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent field. You have probably worked a couple of years as a backend developer using Java as your main programming language. In this role you will also work with databases and Linux therefore previous experience in these techniques are highly meritorious.

As a person we believe you are highly interested in technique and like to keep yourself updated in your area of expertise. We are looking for a proactive person with “Can do” attitude who identifies, plans and executes what needs to be improved. You’re a teamplayer and enjoy communicating with your colleagues and other stakeholders.
