Arbetsbeskrivning
EnginZyme is a forward-thinking Swedish startup, breaking new ground in sustainable and advanced production technologies. Recognised as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and buoyed by our recent €22M Series B funding, we're on a mission to lead the bio-industrial revolution.
We develop, deploy, and maintain a wide range of lab automation platforms that offer state-of-the-art automation capabilities. The successful candidate will play an integral part in driving our growth, enhancing our existing systems, and shaping our future ones. More specifically, we need you to build and perfect the interfaces that allow our software applications to collaborate seamlessly with our physical hardware.
What you’ll do
In this vital role, you will collaborate with a team of six software developers and automation engineers focusing on advancing our Lab Automation and Data Management infrastructure. Your tasks will encompass:
Construct and refine application software for seamless integration with lab automation platforms (including flow reactor hardware)
Assist with the maintenance tasks of our IoT infrastructure like data logging and connectivity between sensors and cloud
Integrate and develop methods on robotic lab automation platforms like Hamilton and Opentrons.
Spearhead the design and execution of features that streamline the workings of our lab automation systems, converting both technical and non-technical requirements into user-friendly applications and high-performing code.
Our tech stack's key features are statically typed and linted Python (MyPy, Pylint/Flake8), C++, and FastAPI frameworks - any experience with these is a great asset. Understanding single-board computers, especially those built on ARMv8 architectures like Raspberry Pi's , will be of immense value in this role.
While competence in ROS, Rust, and STM32 microcontrollers and SILA2 lab automations servers will stand you in good stead, these are not prerequisites for the role. We embrace seasoned professionals and enthusiastic learners alike, and look forward to broadening our team's collective knowledge.
What we offer
A unique opportunity to be part of an impactful journey, contributing to the advancement of a state-of-the-art technology.
Collaboration with world-class experts, working on cutting-edge problems.
Attractive compensation package with an equity component.
A tight-knit, highly diverse team fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and collaboration.
A startup environment with lots of responsibilities, opportunities for growth, and minimal red tape.
The position offers a hybrid working model, requiring regular attendance at our Stockholm office multiple times a week. We support relocation and provide assistance with the setup.
Who you are
With a solid background in software engineering and a passion for lab automation, you should have experience in bridging the gap between the physical and the digital world. You should be comfortable writing elegantly designed and meticulously crafted interfaces between hardware and software. We thrive as a team of passionate individuals who are eager to solve problems without toolkit boundaries, and we're searching for someone who fits this description.
If you're someone who relishes seeing real-world applications of your crisp, clear and maintainable code, you're the perfect fit. Plus, if you're enthusiastic about pushing industry boundaries and creating sustainable solutions for the future, you'll feel right at home with the rest of us.
