To bring our next-gen solutions to life, using open architecture and integration of data sets, we’re now looking for a Software Engineer. You’ll join an exciting journey at our fast-growing division Design and Planning Automation, part of Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions (SMF). A great opportunity to shape your own role and grow your career while keeping a healthy balance between work and private life.
Where?
Our main hub is a new and modern office located at Gasverket in Stockholm, but we’re flexible and you can work from anywhere as long it meets our security protocol.
Your mission
You take our division forward by acting as our subject-matter expert, enabling continuous innovation towards autonomous and sustainable manufacturing. You improve user productivity by providing software that’s easier to learn and use, more automated and more tightly integrated with design software. Our vision is to combine technology and software to create an incredibly smooth manufacturing chain, where our customers are able to control and manage their whole process with only a few keystrokes. You identify gaps where we can develop micro services in order to accelerate this bigger solution using add-ons. Integration of various data points such as tool data, CAM software, measurement software and other parts of factory floor solutions is also a focus area.
You work with an iterative approach, from wireframe idea and transparent business analyzes to release, including feedback and adaption. As there’s no legacy, your workflows are quick and simple, with a sharp focus on our customers and their needs. By transparent collaboration with other teams and stakeholders, you ensure that solutions add business value and are scalable with easy and quick deployment and integration.
Who you are
To thrive in this role, your personality is key. We seek someone who loves writing code while at the same time being thrilled about working in an innovation team – influencing and leading with creativity and competence. With good communication skills, you collaborate with various teams and stakeholders within our complex and growing organization. Critical thinking and problem-solving are some of your key strengths, and you’re curious and dynamic regarding new technology.
Naturally, you also need solid work experience and knowledge within these fields:
Modern software languages and API’s like REST
Continuous delivery and integration techniques
Software development with CAM, especially including toolpath generation
Multithreaded applications
System design, data structures and algorithms
Azure DevOps
It’s a plus if you also have experience of agile methods and SAFe. Sounds like you? We look forward to your application!
