Who we are
Main Responsibilities of the Department
The Declaration & Steering ART (Agile Release Train), is a part of the Vehicle Platform. The Steering teams are responsible for the vehicle steering functions and we develop steering functions for conventional and AD-controlled vehicles. We have both in-house and supplier-developed SW solutions. We research future systems for our portfolio such as Steer by Wire and Rear Wheel Steering. We work with platform solutions where we strive to lead and shape the development on future shared platforms between Volvo, Polestar, Geely, and Lotus.

Our offer
As a Software Engineer, you will belong to our Steering Gear team which consists of 12 people. Your main tasks will be:
-    Accept and analyze requirements from internal & External stakeholders & suppliers
-    Review and document fulfillment of requirements in implemented functions
-    Verify function and be responsible that the function fulfills requirements as a part of a total SW delivery.
-    Management of SW deliveries including documentation, process, and tools
-    Participates in the creation of methodology of software testing and software verification and validation
-    Make sure the supplier software follows set standards (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, MISRA C, etc.) and handle documentation for said standards

The team is cross-functional, and you will be working in an Agile WoW contributing to the priorities in the team’s backlog. You support the reason for going Agile and want to improve our way of working. You are interested in widening your competence as well as deepen your skills to best contribute to the team’s deliveries.

Are you our new colleague? To fit in this role we think that You 
-    have a M.Sc. in Controls and Mechatronics, Electronical or Computer Science Engineering. 
-    You are fluent in English (spoken and written)
-    have a driving license (B) and drive on a regular basis. 
-    have more than 3 years experience of in the following
o    Object-Oriented programming with C++ • GIT/Gerrit
o    Scripting with Python
o    Debugging and fault tracing in embedded SW 
o    You are familiar or worked with following • Matlab/Simulink • Autosar • Linux • C programming language • SW Quality Asurance
o    Knowledge of System Safety
