Us: Market leader in network video looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to a skilled team creating unique solutions.

What will you do?
As a Software Engineer in the System Devices team you will be working with new technology in a very talented and devoted team, in a company with strong company values. The Software team within System Devices is a small agile team with high level of autonomy where open discussions, collaboration and innovation is part of the day to day work. You will have influence on the team´s products and your own work environment. Besides your closest colleagues you will also have a network of colleagues with similar roles in other parts of the organization that you can turn to.

You will participate in hardware product projects as a FW developer. The project scope varies in the level of complexity, but it normally includes a combination of mechanics, electronics, software, industrial design, production technology etc. You will be involved in all stages from refining ideas into requirements specifications to getting all the details in place for the final product, always with in the perspective of an end user.

The products you will be developing is System Devices and Niche Cameras. This means that most of the time the products you will develop will be unique, not just your department but for Axis as a whole. Therefore, there will be expectations on you to take responsibility for any new tasks that comes with these type of products. This is a challenge that will give you diversity in the workflow, but it will also give you means to be innovative and find new ways of doing things.

Who are we looking for?
You are a talented software developer that has a genuine interest for technology and programming, and you love to solve problems. You want to have a prominent role in the team and you thrive with freedom and own responsibility. You are not afraid to seek solutions and drive challenges at your own. You believe that it is just as important to have structured code and security as well a good user experience.

You have a bachelor's or a master's degree in computer science or similar. You have 5 years of experience from C/C++ programming in a Linux environment. With that said, what is most important is the genuine interest of programming in general and Linux specifically. A plus is also if you have experience in development of embedded systems, debugging and configuration management tools.

You are curious, driven and eager to learn and ready to come up with suggestions for solutions and improvements. Also, you have social skills enabling a good team spirit and a productive work climate. You like to have fun at work. You have an interest in collaboration and interaction with many people in and outside your own part of the organization, both regards to getting help and information as well as helping others.

Your English is fluent, written and verbal.
