Welcome to IAR Systems, a knowledge-intensive and value-driven, global company at the top of our industry. We supply the tools and services that make embedded systems development fast, efficient, and reliable, enabling our customers worldwide to deliver better products to their markets quickly. We are now looking for a new colleague to join our Software debug team.
As a Software Engineer at IAR, your main task is to develop high-quality software in compliance with coding standards and technical specifications. Your work is normally planned and executed in projects, and either performed independently or together with colleagues in project teams. In our debug team, you and your teammembers will be responsible for, among other things, the C-SPY debugger which is used in all of IAR’s active products.

Who you are

To succeed in the role, we see that you have the following
A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering/ Computer Science/ related field or equivalent experience.



Prefers working in a team vs working alone


Manages English with full work proficiency
At least 2 years of experience of professional software development in C/C++ with modern development tools in either a Windows-based or Linux-based environment


Knowledge and experience from product development in the embedded industry


In-depth knowledge of debuggers as well as Arm and/or RISC-V architecture


Has experience from agile development in a CI/CD environment


Has experience from version control using Git and/or Subversion


Manages Swedish with full work proficiency
