Are you a SW Engineer with an interest in CI Machinery? Join us as an Infrastructure Developer for the Development Environment at Product Development Group (PDU) Packet Core!
We are looking for an Infrastructure Developer to develop, maintain & enable the CI&CD workflow in an efficient and easy-to-use Development Environment for Product Development Unit (PDU) Packet Core products. Our mission is to build a deployment pipeline for building and releasing containerized Packet Core products. We are responsible for assuring a highly available Engineering Environment for the PDG products development and deploying Engineering Environment troubleshooting tools for the PDGs.

You will:
In this role you will design and keep the product pipeline working with focus on build systems and docker virtualization. You will also develop and maintain a high quality development environment. This is an opportunity to drive continuous improvements of environments, tools and processes. Another focus of this role is to perform advanced troubleshooting and to develop competence in the technical domain. Your role will include all development activities in our pipelines such as: software design, build system design, integration, verification, simulations, tools design, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation. Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We organize in development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Algorithms or equivalent.
Good experience on GNU/Linux, Open Source and Git.
Programming languages: Shell scripting / C++ / Python.
Systematic way of thinking, understanding of software life cycle management.
Experience working with build systems (such as CMake, Makefiles) and virtualization technologies such as Docker.
Preferred qualifications:
We believe you have experience in the following areas:
Development, integration, deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Git/Gerrit, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Spinnaker, Helm).
Maintaining Internet facing production-grade applications in virtualized environments such as cloud computing platforms and services.
Using and maintaining IDEs (such as Eclipse and VSCode).
Scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers/Firewalls and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms)
Serving in the capacity of a technical consultant or advisor, or equivalent client-facing engineering or technical consulting experience.
In addition to this we value domain experience from working with tools development, Continuous Integration, build systems and Automation. We believe you are familiar with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates and key management.
Any experience in developing software in PDU Packet Core or understanding the development flow of PC products is considered a merit.
