Join us as a Software Engineer in our Signalling business unit and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Stockholm, Sweden.


Your role


Software Engineers are at the heart of our Onboard organization within Bombardier Transportation. You will be working alongside likeminded individuals to create cutting edge, safety critical software solutions. Your passion for software development excellence and innovation are therefore keys to being successful in this role.


Your responsibilities


- Design and implement complex, safe software systems using C/C++ that enhance our ETCS Onboard solution


- Interact and coordinate with other engineers worldwide to ensure that the overall requirements are understood and correctly implemented


- Write and maintain software documentation for safety critical systems


- Root cause, impact analyses and resolution of internal and external findings

Qualifications


Your profile:


- BSc degree in computer science, electronics or other equivalent engineering discipline


- At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development, ideally for embedded systems;


- Solid Understanding of object-oriented design paradigms and software modelling;


- Proven track record with requirements driven developments;


- Experience with agile software development, working in cross functional teams;


- Experience with component testing is considered a plus.


- Knowledge in safety-critical embedded systems, safe software architecture(s) and safety engineering;


- Ideally, knowledge of the OS Linux and/or FreeBSD;


- Experience with application of MISRA is a plus
