Purpose of the job:
The railway signalling system - including both wayside and onboard - relies on a well-designed communication system to be up and running smoothly. As a Software Engineer in the N&CS (Network & Cyber Security) team you will develop, test, and maintain necessary software that’s key to make sure the signalling system works as expected and you will be working together in a team in a global and agile environment.
Responsibilities:
• Software Design and Development.
• Software requirement management and 3rd party software integration.
• Installation, Testing and Maintenance of N&CS software, both remotely and on-site.
• Support strategic sourcing for software development.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or similar area.
• Strong experience in designing, developing, testing and maintaining software preferably for signalling and control networks of railway systems.
• Good knowledge of compliance to environmental, safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards.
• Knowledge and experience in Java, C and other object-oriented programming and scripting languages like Python.
• Good working knowledge of Windows and Linux OS.
• Experience with web design or requirement handling tools like DOORS or Requisite Pro, will be considered as a plus.
• Knowledge of general communications systems including wireless communication.
• Demonstrated experience with test tools and troubleshooting capabilities.
• English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role, good written and spoken Swedish would be a plus.
