Join us as Software Engineer and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Västerås, Sweden.


As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible to apply the principles of software engineering in a safety critical environment. This includes the design/planning, development/implementation, as well as maintenance and execution of Train Control Management Systems (TCMS) on simulated and real environment, to verify the fulfilment of the stakeholder requirements.


In the scope of the role, you will perform software design assignments requiring initiative, resourcefulness and design experience.


Your responsibilities will include:


• Analyze and transform specified requirements, leveraging the defined platform and available components into an acceptable architecture which has the required safety integrity level and validate the architecture against requirements and assumptions;


• Assemble software and/or hardware items through all levels up to form a complete subsystem according to the architectural and design specifications;


• Deliver the final generic software system to ensure the finalization of the Project on time;


• Establish and maintain the integrity of work products using configuration identification, control, and status accounting;


• Deliver the software design area in a structured and timely manner fulfilling all requirements.


• Carry out engineering and controlling change requirements and communicating to relevant stakeholders;


• Responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the development team;


• Ensures proper documentation during all project phases and that the corresponding processes are used as intended.


Qualifications


Key requirements:


• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering;


• At least 5 years of relevant work experience within software development;


• Knowledge of C, C++, C# programming languages;


• Good communication skills, flexibility, driven for results, developing oneself;


• Experience within an international environment represents a plus;


• Fluency in English, Swedish is desirable.
