Software engineer with an interest in production

We are looking for a Software engineer to work with our productions systems in our team Production systems software & infrastructure in Lund. Our team is an important part of Axis product development and all Axis products are manufactured using our systems and machines.

Who is your future team?
Production Systems Software & Infrastructure is a team of 20 people. We develop systems which assembles Axis products, test them, and gathers production data. This means that everything from software in our machines to systems that helps Axis keep track of the manufacturing in our factories to collect and create visualizations of production data. Our systems are up 24/7 with a central hub in Lund where all data is gathered.

You will be part of the Spider team with 5 people with senior, experienced, and junior engineers. The work in the Spider team is carried out in an agile way in collaboration with other teams at our department PET (Production Engineering and Technologies), as well as other IT and software teams around Axis. Since our systems support and helps different parts of Axis it also includes a lot of collaboration with other departments and projects at Axis. Knowledge sharing, collaboration and a creative work environment are key elements, as well as keeping the tight and positive team spirit that this team is well-known for

What you'll do here as Software engineer?
The Spider team works with many different layers and functionality, ranging from work with backend functionality, databases, API's, frontend work and logging and monitoring. You will have many opportunities to influence our departments direction as well as your own personal development. You will also be involved in influencing technical choices, our ways of working and contributing to new ideas and functionality.

You will be part of the complete software life cycle for the software, idea creation and design, and investigation of new technologies, to building of new features, releasing, and deploying new functionalities and software to factories and distribution centers around the world. For this work there are possibilities to visit manufacturing sites and distributions centers around the world.

Who are you?
You are curious, technically interested and loves to solve technical challenges in a team focused atmosphere. We believe that you have a strong personal drive and get inspired by working in and creating an environment of openness, creativity, trust, commitment, playfulness, and encouragement.

You have some experience of C# programming or other object-oriented language. Experience of Git, Gerrit, Jira and agile development is a plus but not necessary. You are thorough and love to program and to produce maintainable code and master the chain from creative discussions, building code and secure incremental releases. For this position, we are looking for both experienced and junior engineers.

* C# /.NET, Databases, NI TestStand and python
* Production and security
* API's, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana
* A master's degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, electrical engineering or similar
