Software Engineer within DSP and Audio to Alps Alpine!

JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Software Engineer at Alps Alpine you will work in an agile team with DSP Software Developers and Audio Software Developers to define and build the complete audio software for future OEM audio solutions. You will be responsible for defining the total signal chain and modeling it, ensuring that it fulfills the customer's requested features and is a high-fidelity signal chain with state-of-the-art technology. You will work closely with other developers to optimize the signal chain for the Qualcomm Hexagon DSP architecture and will also be responsible for tuning the signal chain, some of which will be done in collaboration with the customer.

You will also interact with the customer to understand their requested features and ensure that the signal chain reflects these needs. In addition, they may be involved in managing the integration of the source code on the embedded platform, working closely with the DSP SW Developer throughout the project.





Some of your day-to-day tasks:


Software development, including unit testing for a Qualcomm and QNX platform
Signal chain modeling in general and using Audio Weaver in specific
DSP source code generation and integration
Interact with customers and suppliers regarding audio features





THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Expertise in automotive audio design
Proficiency in Qualcomm Hexagon DSP architecture
Experience in using Audio Weaver or similar modelling tools for audio solutions
C, C++, and Python programming skills






It is considered meritorious if you:

Experience in using CI/CD pipelines for development, build, integration and test
Ability to support the CI/CD Lead to implement improvements in the CI/CD pipelines
Ability to model parts of the complete signal chain in Audio Weaver
