Within Business Tech’s Product Area, Allocation Precision, we are looking for a Software Engineer. Our focus is to enable our sales and operational teams with class leading technology that helps us keep our customers first.

We are now looking for a Software Engineer to join the product Allocation Core. The product aims to be in the forefront of allocation solutions by making sure we allocate the right quantity at the right time in the right location. You’ll join a team with a true team spirit, who work together cohesively – across the globe – with a positive and supporting working atmosphere.
About the role
You will be part of a team that is responsible for a custom-built allocation tool in SAP. It contains user interfaces for end users as well as business logic to optimize allocations. This is a central component of the supply chain for H&M. Together with the team you will take part of our future allocation direction and play an important role in our integration journey to shape the future of supply chain.
As a Software Engineer you will be key to ensure our solution is fit for the future of allocation; therefore, we believe you are detail-oriented, and find it motivating to dig into details and solve problems on different levels. You probably like to analyze complex business logic, look into data via SQL/Excel or think it is inspiring to sometimes dig into the source code.
Responsibilities
A Software Engineer is responsible for the entire software life cycle – create, design, development, test, release, and maintenance as well as translating business needs into working software.
You will be responsible for creating simple and powerful solutions for all brands within the H&M group to fulfil our customers' shopping experience.
Some of your daily work includes:
Translate product strategy and requirements into suitable, maintainable and scalable solutions
Collaborate closely with Product Owner and other cross-functional teams and share best practice as well as discuss and motivate design solutions.
Work with professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle
Collaborate and communicate with other Software Engineers and business stakeholders
Translating feedback into improved solutions
Apply logic thinking to approach complex problems
We are looking for you who:
Have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
+2 years of work experience as a Software Engineer or Application Expert
Basic understanding of programming
Have experience from working according to agile practices
“You build it you run it” mindset, preferably worked Devops
Have good knowledge, both written and oral, in English
Tools you will be working with: SAP, Jira, Eclipse, SQL/Excel
It is also a plus if you have experience within SAP, logistics and supply chain.
