Elekta Instrument AB is strengthening our Engineering team developing our future radiation therapy devices. This is one of several open positions where we are recruiting a Software Engineer to our Imaging team. The position is located at Elekta’s head office in Stockholm, Sweden and you will report to Head of Imaging Karin Ask.

What you’ll do at Elekta
As a Software Engineer in our Imaging team you will be designing and developing the X-ray based imaging solutions in our future radiation therapy products together with other skilled engineers, physicists and researchers. You and your team will be focusing on functionality for x-ray image acquisition. The software that you write will be interacting with the application layer and the x-ray imaging components using the control system software and communication framework.
You understand that software development is more than just writing code and you will take part in the whole development cycle from requirements, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
Your agile team is part of an international and cross functional program working according to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Your main responsibilities
Participating in creating requirements and test specifications
Participating in creating and documenting software architecture and detailed design
Software implementation including unit and integration tests
The right stuff
To be a suitable candidate for this position we think you have a Bachelor or Master’s degree of Science in Engineering, specializing in computer science, electronics, physics or similar. You have thorough experience in Software Engineering in a product development organization and prior experience of working in a regulated industry, preferably in the medical sector. You have excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
You have work experience in:
C++ development in Linux and Windows environment
C development on microcontrollers
Object oriented design
Google Test/Google Mock
GIT and Azure DevOps
CMake
Test automation and simulation
Real-time systems
Fieldbus communication technologies (CAN, EtherCAT)
Experience in X-ray imaging (generation and detection)
