Software Platform Developer

Your role

As a Platform Developer within Combat System you are expected to take responsibility for everything from system architectural questions to implementation and verification on an everyday basis. You will actively survey the open source community for solutions to our challenges while balancing the need for stability in the implementation. The platform you will be developing implements heavy security measures within authentication, encryption, and audit mechanisms, but also serves as an efficient platform for high velocity in large scale product development.



Your profile

To be successful our teams need expert knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, containers, hypervisors, micro-services and scaling network solutions.

We expect you to challenge status quo and seek out new perspectives, and drive new initiatives. We are striving to be on the absolute front regarding new technology and if you are as passionate about open cloud solutions as we are we would like you to join our team.



We are looking for a developer with good communications skills. You are driven by change and improvements and do not see technical challenges as obstacles.



Required skills:

* Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other equivalent background
* A solid understanding and experience of agile development and management.
* A proactive and reliable team player with very good communications skills.
* Linux configuration
* Virtualization and containerization techniques and tools
* Experience from product development and DevSecOps
* Fluent in Swedish and English



Desired skills:

* Security frameworks (eg. KSF, NIST)
* Micro-services and scaling network solutions
* Experience of Export Control regulations.
* Experience from working in an international business environment.



This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.



What you will be a part of

You will be a part of Saab Combat System organization. Most of the daily work will concern software and system development building a robust, secure, continuous integration, delivery and deployment platform, and you will belong to Runtime platform team.
