The Climate department is responsible for the climate development within Volvo Car Group and is part of the Vehicle Platform unit within Volvo Car's Engineering division. We own most of the components connected to the climate function and the software-control of the same. Part of this is the Climate software platform team who is responsible for providing consistent and reliable tools/environments to accelerate software development and delivery to end consumers.

We continuously challenge ourselves in finding more energy efficient solutions that provide the customer with a reliable, premium comfort experience.
What you will do
As a software platform engineer, you will be part of a cross functional team together with SW developers and continuous integration (CI) engineers that share their workload and develop their competences together to become stronger as individuals and as a team. You will work with the latest technology within climate comfort and use modern tools within software development to develop software with speed and quality. Parts of the work are ensuring fast feedback loop on changes to continuously assess the quality of our SW products, all the way from unit to complete vehicle level, with stable and efficient CI and automation tests capability in place.
You will:
• Configure, test, maintain and monitor CI/CD pipelines and automated test framework related to climate comfort functions testing.
• Ensure that functional standards and best practices are applied.
• Coach and partner with other teams to develop and improve existing solutions.
What you will bring
We believe you have:
• An agile mindset and a strong drive to develop excellent quality.
• M.Sc. in Systems, Control and Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Zuul, Ansible, Git/Gerrit, Docker, Jenkins, Victoria Message Bus, Artifactory
• Understand the Electrical/Electronic architecture of intelligent electric vehicles and the development of corresponding testing frameworks.
• Experience with developing testing frameworks including vTESTstudio, Pytest, and any other custom test frameworks (UI testing using selenium would be a plus)
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, YAML.
• Knowledge about CANoe, Vector HW/SW tools, including CANoe configuration creation, working with VT Systems, Network communications etc.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Climate system knowledge is a plus.
• Driving license (B)
