Software Product Manager

Description and Responsibilities
Do you want to be a part of Product Management at Emerson? We are now looking for a Software Product Manager to join our team!
The Software Product Management team handles all software products within the Rosemount level portfolio.
It includes configuration and diagnostic software to provide best in class user experience as well as important operator software and mobile/cloud based applications.
The person we are looking for has a strong personal drive with a strategic mindset and are able to combine technology with customer needs. As Product Manager, you will be the voice of the customer, and seek to understand how we can improve our existing portfolio or create new products for the future. We are looking for a senior profile with good leadership skills and a minimum of five years’ experience in relevant positions.
In this role you will be managing assigned software products and owning their long term strategy and roadmap. You will have a wide network of internal and external contacts and work closely with our business units and customers in order to understand customer and market needs. You will collaborate with internal functions such as system architects, UX designers and business solution managers to transform customer and market insights/needs into user stories and software features providing the most customer value and the best user experience. You will be an important stakeholder to our engineering teams when driving our software products and solution from idea to launch and continuous growth.

Requirements
You have a broad technical understanding rather than deep and narrow expertise. We expect a strong customer focus and a curiosity for new challenges as well as a ‘can-do’ entrepreneurial mindset and drive. You have strong communication and presentation abilities and leadership comes naturally for you.
Furthermore, you thrive in a collaborative environment with a lot of contacts. You also possess interpersonal competence, and the ability to work in teams with empathy, responsibility and persuasiveness.

We see that you
• Hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Are fluent in both verbal and written English.
• Have minimum of 5 years of professional relevant experience.
It is a merit if you have experience within software development and UX design.
