Software is a key driver in our vehicles, providing our customers with experiences from entertainment to safe driving. As a Software Program Coordinator you will be an important enabler to make sure that these experiences can reach customers in all our cars globally.

What you’ll do
Within Strategy & Program Management, you will be part of the Lifecycle Cluster, contributing as a part of a truly global team. You will belong to the Software Products and Offers team that manages the “Software & Smartification Program” and the “OTA Software Update Program”. As a Program Coordinator for “Software & Smartification Program” and the “OTA Software Update Program” you will work closely with the Business Program Managers for the two programs. You will work cross-functionally in collaboration with program members and stakeholders across the engineering, digital and commercial organizations.

As a Program Coordinator you will handle planning, visualization, and decision material. You will monitor the program meeting agendas and minutes and prepare for gateways and milestones. You will also constantly improve the ways of working in a complex environment.The OTA program oversees the delivery of software to all OTA-enabled Volvo customer cars multiple times every year. It is covering work with large parts of the organization such as Engineering, Service Business and Customer Care. It also covers interaction with all markets where customers can receive software updates.

The Software & Smartification Program has the end-to-end business and program responsibility for customer-facing software features like Connected Infotainment, Smart Interaction and Driver Support. It is also responsible for enablers such as Connectivity and Data Business. You will also support your Product Lead colleagues, where you will take responsibility for specific product features and work with stakeholders and the developing organizations in feature definition, introduction timing and business cases. You will follow the features to ensure priority, plan fulfillment and successful launch.

What you will bring

A university degree from relevant education is desireable for this role. The ideal candidate has a business and customer mindset, good communication, visualization and documentation skills and can manage complexity. Good understanding of software development processes – knowledge of software integration on complete vehicle level, is essential for this position. You should be a network builder with good cross-functional cooperation. Solution and improvement oriented - ability to think systematically and evolve methods and tools to improve efficiency and quality. 
The role handles all areas of the car, cloud and mobile applications. Therefore, knowledge in Volvo Cars development process and tools is preferred
