CEVT is an innovation centre for the future cars of the Geely Group with the purpose of being at the forefront of new developments in the automotive industry. Since 2013 CEVT has grown rapidly and now keeps some 2000 people busy. China Euro Vehicle Technology AB is a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group.
We are currently looking for a Software Project Manager to join our Project Controls & Calibration department within CEVT Powertrain Engineering.
Powertrain Engineering at CEVT is responsible development of new global electrified powertrains from the early concept phase to industrialization. Our organization plays an important role since these systems will continue to be the main technologies for the Geely group going forward. CEVT is an important innovation center in the Geely Group, which brings a great opportunity to contribute to innovating new technology for future powertrains to be used across brands in the Geely Group.
As Software Project Manage you plan and maintain the project plan for software and functionality related activities according to targets in terms of quality, delivery, cost and features. You will also lead and follow-up on planned activities, e.g. requirement/function/software freeze and release, testing and validation
An important aspect of the role is to communicate between engineering team and customer to help in the management of day-to-day project activities. You also will guide the organization towards set targets and the next level of performance by maintaining a positive, constructive and challenging dialogue on technology and decisions to be taken. In the end it’s about creating enablers towards a positive and successful project execution within the organization.
You will represent and report the software and function status of the project inside and outside the Powertrain Engineering area.
In your role you will have daily contact with Product Owners from different teams in the Powertrain Engineering departments.
To be successful in this role we also believe you have the following:
• Bachelor or Master degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• A couple of years of relevant experience in software and function related project management
• Meriting is previous work experience as a function/software developer and/or system engineer in large scale automotive industrial projects
• Experience with Agile Software development methodology
It’s important that you are a problem solver who takes initiatives and actively working on the problems or issues and a team player but also can work independently.
Good oral and written communication skills in English is essential, as is also a cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture.
The role will involve some travel, mainly to China, but also to suppliers in Europe.
