This Opportunity

Delphi Electronics and Safety development office in Gothenburg (former Mecel) specialize in software and systems development and function ownership within the Active Safety domain. The need for Active Safety products is rapidly growing and in order to manage projects and deliver products to all European OEMs, Delphi is now hiring over 10 experts in this specific area.

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer you will be responsible for establishing, supporting, verifying and reporting on the software quality for multiple projects. You will be working with development teams and project management to ensure that requirements are clear and testable. You will be working closely with developers in order to drive quality into the product from the beginning.

Your task

• Collaborate with project managers, software developers and quality team members to define requirements and acceptance criteria for features
• Conduct internal audits and assessments
• Coach project teams within the area of software quality assurance and continuously improve test processes and techniques
• Perform quality reviews and assessments
• Report and track process deviations
• Create management reports and metrics
• Review work products against process requirements
• Develop SQA plan and report test execution status metrics including test cases completed, defects identified and fixed, defects by type, and time to resolution
• Involved in customer discussions and audits
• Present results to management and suggest suitable improvements
Your skills

• Masters of Science E/D/IT/Z or similar education level
• 5+ years hands-on software test experience
• Experience testing and delivering high quality software – preferably on an embedded software product
• Expert knowledge of QA methodology and industry-standard testing and bug tracking tools
• Documented knowledge of Automotive SPICE
• Experience conducting audits and assessments
• Proven ability to create, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases
• Enthusiasm to dig into technical specifications and to troubleshoot problems
• Previous experience working in the automotive industry
• Software development experience
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar
• Experience from distributed systems and systems engineering
• Familiar with functional safety concepts
• Ability to manage multiple projects in different phases simultaneously
• Experience of project management and requirements management is a plus
• Must be fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Decent verbal and written skills in Swedish desired but not required
