Software Spectrum is seeking an Account Manager to grow assigned territories by prospecting for new business through telephone sales and outside sales activities. This person will be accountable for generating business through new sales and growth in existing accounts. Duties and Responsibilities: . Works on Assigned targeted accounts, managing total sales and customer satisfaction. . Exhibit account knowledge by selling SSI as a solution to business needs. . Responsible for marketing the company's products and/or services with well qualified prospects. . Generates prospective customers through prospecting, cold calling, servicing and follow up. . Develop customer relationships while identifying sales opportunities. . Develop and drive sales strategies at account level. . Achieve/exceed monthly sales targets and gross profit quota. . Focus on corporate customers below 2000 PCs. . In-person sales calls, as necessary. . Be the single point of contact for customers including, but not limited to, pricing, quotes and escalations. . Prepare activity and forecast reports. . Maintain and update a database of customer information. . Maintain current knowledge of publisher licensing programs. . Respond to requests from both internal and external customers. . Attend company planned training sessions and team meetings. Requirements: Competencies: . Negotiation skills . Tele-Sales skills . Software and Licensing product knowledge Education and Experience: 2-3 years sales experience in an aggressive cold calling and prospecting environment. College degree or equivalent work experience required. Demonstrated record of success achieving/exceeding sales targets on a quarterly basis. Desire to work in a performance driven environment. Ability to develop new sales strategies. Effective rapport-building and relationship management skills. Highly driven, self motivated, competitive. Knowledge of Software Licensing/hardware/peripherals. Excellent communication and persuasion skills. Excellent problem solving skills. Must be proficient with MS Office, and have some experience with CRM. Must have the ability to utilize resources to gather information needed. 75% of time spent in the office supporting activities for 25% out of the office on customer visits Skills & Knowledge: .
