Purpose of the Job
In this role, you will lead the software development team for the key signalling hardware platform solutions. The team includes highly skilled software engineers developing embedded, safety critical control systems.
We are looking for a Team Leader in Software Engineering with the capability of leading the team as well as contributing with Embedded Software Development activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Ensure personal growth and development of team members through coaching and mentoring in embedded, safety critical, railway control systems.
• Team resource planning, including hiring of staff and temporary work force.
• Performance reviews, including setting goals and follow up for each team member.
• Provide capacity and competence as required, related to software engineering.
• Coordinate together with the Hardware, System and Test engineering groups.
• Drive software development activities using SCRUM or similar methodologies.
• Monitor software integration and quality.
• Contribute to the development activities by means of Architecture definition, coding Q&A, change management or software design.


Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong experience in embedded system development, preferably in a similarly complex industry (i.e. aerospace, automotive, industrial).
• Main background from software development (including C) in high performance embedded platforms (e.g. ARM Cortex processors, PowerPC, MIPS or equivalent).
• Good understanding on low-level software developments (e.g. drivers for HW peripherals).
• Good understanding of RTOS (e.g. FreeRTOS, QNX, VxWorks) or Embedded Linux is a big plus.
• Leadership experience in a software engineering team and/or Project Management in embedded systems will be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of safety critical systems will be preferred.
• English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role, Swedish will be considered a plus.
