Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
What we are doing
Our team is committed to adding customer value by ensuring the quality of the powertrains for the future, enabling the Traton brands (Navistar, MAN, Power Solutions) and their customers to stay on top as premium brands within our industry and driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system. This will only be achieved if we together accept the challenges but more important – the opportunities – that come with the technology shift we are currently going through.
As with our past products and services we believe that our future ones have to be developed with a strong customer-centric approach and in a collaborative environment where many of our challenges are solved cross-functional and together with partners on a global level. Hence, we advocate an agile way of working where both the individual as well as the team will have a great impact on the end product.
Why you should join us
As a test developer, you get the opportunity to work with powertrains that year after year are ranked on top in different market segments and rewarded with several awards for their functionality and efficiency. You will be an instrumental part in delivering world-class software that exceeds our customers’ expectations.
While working as a test developer you gain comprehensive knowledge of the needs of our customers, inside and outside Scania, the powertrain control systems, and a good overview of how the functions are connected in the software. The work consists of a big variety of tasks; such as analysis of requirements, development of test cases and scripts for verification of new functionality, and performing tests in both vehicles, test rig, and simulated environments.
You and your skills
As a person, you are responsible, structured and proactive, and encouraged by technical challenges. You can quickly familiarize yourself with advanced problems with a desire to find creative solutions together with your colleagues. You have an eye for quality and strive to ensure customer quality and satisfaction. As the service involves many interfaces, you are responsive to various inputs and have no difficulties making new contacts. You have an understanding of the powertrain, both ICE and electric, and a desire to learn more.
You need experience in programming and software development or testing.
Interest in vehicles is an advantage. You have a relevant university education and it is preferable to have a European driving license for a car. Communication comes easy for you and you master both Swedish and English in speech and writing.
Do you recognize yourself in the above? Then we look forward to your application!
